VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Black Panzer wrap for a Heer Feldwebel, garment was lightly service worn and shows light age but is unaltered and undamaged, garment made of later quality black wool, lining and sleeve fittings are of grey rayon, the full complement of large and small black composite buttons remain and are originally sewn, waist tie tapes are of white HBT tape, belt hook support straps are of a grey webbed material, lining is stamped in black with size markings and E.44 depot identifier, insignia consists of machine applied Panzer collar patches, these have synthetic piping and aluminum skulls each having two rounded prongs penetrating the collar, the subdued woven national emblem is zig zag machine sewn, a beautiful matched pair of slip on shoulder straps is included, these have rosa colored wool piping, machine applied metallic NCO tresse and two aluminum rank pips each, blue painted pebbled metal buttons are used to secure the straps, a button for holding marksmanship lanyard is positioned at the right shoulder strap bridle, there are loops for three breast badges and a small ribbon bar, a ribbon appears to have been removed from the lapel as there are a few remaining threads, also included are ribbon, scalloped back silver Panzer Assault Badge marked R.S. and an umarked EKI, badges are very nice showing light age, there is some light soling to the lining, national emblem, etc. but wrap is absent alteration or repair and is in overall excellent condition, superior and attractive example, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional detailed photos, USD $6500 SOLD
