Panzer-Division (Berlin Bear), well used Soldbuch with photo of subject in Heer M40 style service blouse, includes his Erkennungsmarke from Pz.Grn.Ers.Btl.50 and an Edelweiss flower which was pressed between pages, well filled out book lists service with various Panzergrenadier units and shows awards for EKII, Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze as well as Black and Silver Wound Badges (for shrapnel and bullet wounds), the set includes his Life Saving Association membership card with photo in HJ uniform plus a Life Saving Association handbook with illustrations, two pre war swimming certificates, oilcloth Kennkarte with photo in civilian clothing, EKII award document signed by Der Kommandeur der 3. Panzer-Division Wilhelm Phillips (25 May '44 to 1 Jan. '45), a letter stating that his PAB is being sent to his parents as subject was in hospital and could not be located, a Christmas card with the Berlin Bear motif and photo in four pocket service uniform, two mailed pre war postcards celebrating Berlin's 700th year; additional there are photos of the handsome subject, one postcard sized photo wearing field grey wrap with EKII ribbon and would badge plus a pair of smaller wallet sized portraits, one with M43 cap, a further eight loose photos depict a captured Valentine tank, a squad of men in a field, an explosion, the company mess wagon, a convoy of trucks pulling artillery, a wrecked farm house with bomb craters nearby and an interesting shot of a destroyed Panzer III or StuG plus three destroyed Tiger 1 tanks, Soldbuch shows the most wear but it is complete and all pages are still attached, fine set, USD $900 SOLD
