The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Heer M42 style drillich service blouse for a Panzergrenadier Unteroffizier, not your typical example in that this one is the rarer M42 model and was actually worn, and pleasingly so, all original and constructed of the earlier dark reed green colored drillich fabric that still has the waxy feel, with steel hook and eye at the collar, six button front closure, four unpleated patch pockets with scalloped pocket flaps, adjustable cuffs and vented rear skirt, the field grey painted pebbled shoulder strap buttons are sewn into place, the remainder are removable, being held with S rings, collar liner, bandage pocket and cuff buttons are grey colored pressed paper, all are still in place and are originally stitched, the skeleton lining components, belt hook support straps, and bandage pocket are made of grey colored rayon, the right inner vertical lining panel is stamped in white ink with maker information, sizes and M42 depot, the subdued woven pattern insignia are factory sewn, the collar Litzen are straight machine stitched, the national emblem is applied in the 'zip and flip' style by having a concealed straight machine stitched along the top edge of the eagle's wing, with the remainder folded over and the lower portions also being being (visibly) machine stitched, the matched pair of slip on shoulder straps are made of early mid war quality field grey wool, have ribbed cotton tongue reinforcements and rayon piping, the metallic NCO Tresse is machine sewn to lower collar edge and shoulder straps, a badge looks to have been applied to the left breast pocket at one time, blouse shows wear, staining, and age toning plus fading to the fabric edges, particularly at the neck line, there are no holes tears, repairs or other damage, USD $1850
